Poetry vs. Hip-Hop Mission Statement

PvHH is made up of misfit geniuses. Our mission is to give voice to the artists who never thought anyone cared; and offer a stage instead of suicide. PvHH’s friendly “battles” bridge the gap between cousin genres that would not usually acknowledge each other. At our shows, hugging is mandatory. We, intentionally, select artists from different walks of your city. The image of a trans woman Hip-Hop artist hugging a self-proclaimed “thug” poet – will bring you to tears. And the audience to their feet.
